Matthew 25:35-36 "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."
I believe that everyone has a passion in their life through which God can easily speak to them if they are willing to listen. You just have to find that niche in your life where God can pull at your heart strings. Mine is music, and this song, combined with that beautiful flag touches my heart.
There are so many aspects of our lives that require us to "stand up". Do we? For some, the answer is sometimes, or seldom, but how about for those of us who would answer that (honestly) never? For me, Matthew 25:35-36 goes hand-in-hand with this song. It's a great reminder that God wants us to stand up! He wants us to use our voice... hands, and feet! Even though evangelism may be really hard for some of us (me, me, me!!!), He wants us to use our voice. Even though it may take away from our beloved facebook time to go on that mission trip and build that house or feed that stranger, He wants us use our hands for his service! Even though it may be exhausting to run that 5K for an organization who raises money for children and adults who may be handicapp or sick and can't run it for themselves, He wants us to use our feet! So won't we stand up?
